The prime time football games taking place in Week 2 look to be pretty competitive. I expect the Green Bay vs. Seattle game to be a defensive duel which could make some of the players on both teams a little risky. On the other hand, the Colts looked pretty awful in Week 1 and the Jets actually looked decent. If you’re wanting to play in a Week 2 prime time game through either DraftKings or FanDuel, I think the lineup below might do pretty well. But, before I go into that, let me explain why I selected this lineup.
When it comes to quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers would likely be the best. However, his price is extremely high and he’s facing one heck of a defense! Andrew Luck would be another decent option, but the Jets defense did a good job of shutting down Cleveland in Week 1 and his numbers were pretty bad. While I don’t think Luck would be a horrible pickup, I think Russell Wilson has the most potential for a big night! As for running backs, Christopher Ivory would have been one of my top picks for these tournaments. But, with the recent groin injury it makes him a real gamble. With that being said, I do believe Eddie Lacy and Marshawn Lynch will both be worth starting in the prime time games. Since the running backs are costly the wide receiver spots will need to be a little cheaper. Randall Cobb has some shoulder sourness, but will most likely play. However, T.Y. Hilton is still questionable which could make him a game time decision. With Green Bay facing a tough defense and having a somewhat hurting WR1 spot, I am actually thinking both Davante Adams and James Jones have potential for a big game. They’re both extremely affordable too! Eric Decker will also be a great play because the Jets number one WR Brandon Marshall will likely have one of the leagues best defenders (Vontae Davis) all over him! Mason Crosby makes for a good kicking option this week because Aaron Rodgers will have a hard time getting the ball into the end zone against Seattle’s defense. It could leave a bunch of field goal opportunities! Speaking about defensive choices, I’m going with the New York Jets in this tournament. They looked good last weekend and if the Colts play anything like they did in Week 1, this defense could have another 17 point fantasy week!
